The Centre for Technology Structure Development (ZTS GmbH) was founded in 1995 as the operating company of the technology centre of the county of Riesa-Großenhain, now the county of Meissen. Purpose of the company is to improve the social and economic structure of the county through targeted promotion of the economy in particular improving the technology structure by means of technology transfer projects, consulting and training projects, and supporting the establishment of technology-oriented start-ups.

The ZTS GmbH can look back on many years of experience in the field of technology transfer, both at national and international level. In recent years, ZTS has supported numerous innovation processes through the organization of innovation forums. The concrete experience in project management, network management, marketing, facilitation and coaching and close contacts with the regional companies and scientific institutions form a stable basis for the processing and design of technology transfer projects. Additionally, within the last years ZTS has also been specialized to the topic of regional management and tourism/cultural heritage.

The target groups are mainly small and medium sized enterprises and research institutions, which require support in the innovation process or in the creation and the management of networks with the aim of increasing competitiveness. ZTS supports the establishment of quality management systems and advises on occupational safety in the company. In addition, ZTS supported companies in the field of resource efficiency.

Since January 2013 ZTS has been a partner of the Saxon consortium of the Enterprise Europe Network.
